We have heard it said, "the KJV is just a translation", and "all translations have errors."  Says who? They say, "translations can not be inspired, because only the originals were inspired." That sounds good, but is it true or is it just plain nonsense. I can just hear someone now saying or thinking, these people at New Life Baptist Church must believe that somehow translations can be inspired. Without hesitation, let me say loud and clear, WE DO!!! If you have been to Bible School or Seminary, it may take a little extra effort on your part to get it. Yes, we are Bible Believers, and that helps us make the complex simple. You see, If the Bible gives us evidence that God Himself gives the full weight of inspiration to translations, than it should be easy for Bible Believers to believe in inspired translations, right? Ever heard of Axioms - you know, self evident truths? Consider the obvious then, and answer these questions for yourself.
        In Acts 21:31, Paul was asked, "Canst thou speak Greek?" Then it says in Acts 21:40: "And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying, ..." What Paul said is recorded for us in Acts 22:1-22. Now the Bible says he spoke in Hebrew, and everyone I suppose knows the whole New Testament was written in Greek.

        Here is the question for you then. What was inspired?, (1) the original Hebrew words he spoke, (2) the Greek words of the original autograph, which was a translation of the Hebrew words? (3) or do I hear someone say, the Greek words can not be inspired words, even though they are part of "the original" (we seem to hear so much about) Greek Text, because we know he spoke them in Hebrew.
        Here is another example of inspired translations. In Acts chapter 2, Peter and the others were speaking with the true gift of tongues, "as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2:4) The Bible Says:  "And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?(Acts 2:5-8). If all those Jews with over a dozen different languages or tongues heard "them speak the wonderful works of God" - who did the translating. It was Galileans who spoke, yet they all heard in their own language where in they were born. It is quite evident to us at least, that the Holy Spirit did the translating instantly into several languages, all at the same time, and yet it was written down in Greek! Were those God inspired translations. Do you suppose there were any errors? Peter in Acts 2:14 says, "hearken to my words:"
        I will give you one more. Moses was used of the Holy Spirit to write the book of Genesis, and in Genesis chapters 42 through 45 we have the record of Joseph and his brothers coming down to him in Egypt so they could buy food. In Genesis 42:7-22 Joseph spoke to them through an interpreter. Yet Genesis was written in Hebrew. Joseph spoke in one language (likely the language of Egypt), which was then translated into another language (the language Joseph's brothers understood) and then written down several hundred years later in Hebrew by Moses. Which words were inspired and without error, Joseph's words which he spoke, the words spoken by the translator so his brothers could understand them (on the fly translation of his original words), or the words Moses wrote down in the original audographs? It is quite clear that Joseph did not speak to them in Hebrew, for that would give him away to his brothers, and of course he would not need a translator. To us here at New Life Baptist Church, it is clear that the translation of Joseph's words into Hebrew was inspired by God, either through the translator or Moses, or both.
        Are we to believe God could not get His Scripture into English, the universal language of the World in the end times. If your God is not able to do these things, why don't you right now repent, and turn in your little Westcott & Hort type gods for the Living God of Scripture. You see, if you can not see the fact here from these Scriptures, that God has been in the process of inspiring perfect translations without error from the very beginning, how would you ever be able to know if the KJV we use is inspired or not? What God does is what God does, and it is much of the time off the charts for our little minds to completely understand. The finite can not understand the thoughts of the infinite. Nothing ever occurred to God, He never took a lesson, never went to Bible School, never learned anything, and yet knows all that can be known throughout all eternity - always without ever thinking.
